CORONATION CELEBRATION.
Reference was made by the Mayor (Mr. T. M. Wilford) at the council meeting today to the proposed local celebration of the Coronation. He stated that already a number of applications for the use of the Town Hall and the various reserves on tho 22nd of Juno had been received, but no notification of the Government's intention was yet to hand. Unless the Government comes to _ a decision soon, continued the speaker, it will only havo itself to blame if tho council makes other arrangements. Councillor Cohen expressed the h*pe. that, there would be no undue expenditure of money in regard to the celebration, j On. tho motion of Councillor Fletcher, ' the whole matter was left m the hands i <A tho Mayor.
