THE GRAND JUNCTION. [BX XBLKQSAPH— fIPBCIAT, XO TUB POST.] WAIHI, 2nd May. Since the sinking of the sliait for No. 6 level in the Grand Junction mine was resumed, the volume of water has been steadily increasing, and the management have decided to suspend operations in the shaft for the time being. The stoppage should not, however, materially delay the opening up of the mine at greater depth, as in a few weeks the Waihi Gold Mining Company will commence the unwatering of the reef system of the field at the 1150 ft level, and 'should get the bulk of the water out about three months after starting. Thus at latest the Junction management should be in touch with the Empire reef at No. 6 level early in .1912..
