A meeting, under tho auspices of tho Women's Christian Temperance Union, was held in the V.M.C.A. last night, in honour of Frances Elizabeth Willard, founder of tho Women's Christian Temperance Union. Mrs A. R. Atkinson, who presided, said that Miss Willard had done a mighty work for God and humanity. She had been called the "Queen of America," and was the only woman who had ever been seriously considered for election to the Presidency. Mrs Low then read an interesting paper on the lifework of the woman whom they had met to honour. The address was listened to with keen interest, and was heartily applauded.
