The Hon. G. Fowlds returnecr to Wellington from Wanganui and Palmerston (North yesterday afternoon. Ramsay, who has been associated with the Carterton Post Office staff for the past sixteen years, has been appointed to the position of postmaster at Mangaweka. Mr. Ramsay is a prominent member of the local Bowling Club and St. Mark's Masonic Lodge, and has done some useful service for these institutions. Messrs. D. R. Hoggard, E. Lyon, and 'J. L. Short liaye received unofficial iritimafcion of their success in the recent (University examination, each having obtained the LL.B. degree. Mr.- Percy iW. Burbidge has won a senior scholarship. Mi 1 . Robert Kennedy, M.A., LL.B., has been. notified of his success in obtaining the LL.M. degree, with first-class honours, while Mr. H. E. Evans, 8.A., LL.B., obtained the same degree with second-class honours. Miss Reeve has obtained the M.A. degree with second-class honours in mathematics.
