"A TEMPTING BAIT." By Telegraph.— Press Asbociation.— Copyriclit. SYDNEY, 16th February. In connection with the ruraour that the American Meat Trust is prospecting Australia,, the Pastoralists' Review states that it is informed from a-n authentic source that Messrs. Swift and Company, the American packers, are sbout to offer 7 per cent, guaranteed Referred stock in the business to the stock-owners of Australasia. The Review adds that this is a tempting bait, and if Messrs. Swift and Company get hold of the source of supply it may not take them long to capture the works and the whole trade.
