The British first-class battleship Colling wood, while entering Ferrol harbour, damaged 35 armoured plates. [The Collingwood, built in 1908, is a vessel of 19,250 tons displacement. She came off better than H.MJ3. Howe, a battleship of 10,300 tons, did when she stranded on the Pereiro Reef, at the entrance to Ferrol, on the 2nd. November, 1892. The Howe listed over to starboard 90deg, and at high-water her foredeck was entirely submerged. The Howe was got off by the Neptune Salvage Company of Stockholm after the projections of rock on which she strand- .
