ANNUAL RELIABILITY TRIALS ROUTE AND CONDITIONS. The annual reliability trials of ths New Zealand Motor Cycle Club will bj ' hold on 10th and 11th March. The route for general reliability test m ill bo Irom Wellington to Wanganui via Shannon, Palmerstou North, Feilding, Marton, and Turakina, 160 milob, and back via Turakina. Bulls, aud Palmcrston North 150 miles} the total d'stanoe being 310 miles approximately. The motor cycle roliability trial will consist of reliability trip 1, petrol consumption test, hill-climbing competition, and competition for Bid willBarton Championship Cup. For the more convenient running of the trials the competitors will be divided into two clashes, namely, lightweights, all motor cycles up to and including 24-h.p.j and weighing not move than 1401 b, arid heavyweights, all motor cycles over 2^-h.p, the results to be worked out on the above bask. The marimum time allowed for ths light-weights to cover tho distance on the first day is ILj, hours, an approximate average of 14 miles per hour. The minimum time is eight hours., or twenty miles per hour. On the second tiny tho maximum time allowed is ten hours, minimum time seven ond a hall hours. Speed same as first day. In tbs heavyweights the maximum time allowed is eight hours, an approximate averago of twenty miles per hour, the minimum time is six and a half hours or twentyfive miles per hour. Second day. — Maximum time allowed seven hours, 'minimum time six hours. Speeds same as firpt day. All competitors must b© on tho mark by: Light-weig-hte, 5.45 a.m.; heavy-weights, 6.15 a.m. No dismounting for traffic or which in the opinion of the party was necessary to avoid accidents will bo counted against competi- . tor*. Any competitor giving or accepting mechanical assistance or advice will be rendered liable to disqualification, but competitors are requested to help one another with tire troubles, no points being lost for these. On handing in bicycles at controls they must not 00 touched in any way until Eve minutes bsfora starting again, and then only at a signal from the official in charge. Petrol and oil tanks may be filled at any time under supervision of an official or the members of the team. Any adjustments or repairs must be made after th© woT-d "go" has been given by the starter to that particular party.
