HAMILTON SIXTEEN DEFEATED. By Telegraph.— Press Association.— Copyright MELBOURNE, 29th January. South Africa beat tho Hamilton district sixteen. South Africa made 229 (Commaille not out 31, Campbell 23 Sherwell 28). ' Hamilton, in their second venture, made 120, M'Dp-nald (22) being top scorer. Llewellyn took three wickets for 24, Vogler seven for 53, and Schwarz five for 27. The South Africans thus won by an innings and fifty runs.
