MONDAY'S SALE AT THE D.I.C.

I | The management of the D.I.C. would draw the attention cf the public to the End-of-Season Clearance, whi^h commences on Monday in all departments of the company's warehouse. i The D.I.C. customers are represented by all classes and grades of the community, and they cannot be said- to lack discriminating power. There is, therefore, hardly any reason to point- out that the public know our goods, and know our prices. It is now an established fact that the D.I.C- does not purchase job or odd stock for sale purposes, but that end-of-season clearing sales at the D.I.C. are veritable bargain-giving periods lv is the company's hard and fast rule that fashion or odd stock must rot be carried over from season to season, but must be run off while it is yet fresh and good. Tha sale, which commences on Monday, will be an exceptional bargain-giv-ing time, as the stocks' are particularly heavy, and the opportunity wilJ be taken to bring them well down to the desired limit. — Advt. ,

The Bishop of Melanesia will give an address in the Town Hall Concert Chamber on Wednesday evening next. The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is to hold its annual masting at the Chamber of Commerce at 4 o'clock on Tuesday next. Messrs. J. fl. Bethune and Co. insert an amended list of business and residential properties, which they have on their books for private sale, also a number of houses to let both furnished and unfurnished. Mrs. E. Schutze will lecture at New Century Hall to-morrow at 7 p.m., and will give messages. The ri.K.
