TECHNICAL EDUCATION BOARD.
I Mr. D. Robertson presided at a meeting of the Wellington Technical Education Board last evening, and there were also present Messrs W. H. Field, M.P., | J. G. W. Aitken, W. A letter from the Cooks and Waiters' Union approved the establishment of a professional cooking class, but stated '•that the union was not in a position to render any assistance. The letter was received, the chairman remarking that the union wanted as much as it could get, but was apparently not prepared to help the board much. It was shown in the financial state- ; menfc that the credit balance to dateamounted to £490, as against a debit* balance of £86 at the same time last year.
