The newspaper Independance Beige has obtained confirmation of the late King Leopold's plan to aid Germany to invade France. PARIS, 26th January. The French military manoeuvres will be held next autumn along the course of the Oise River, on the natural route of a German invasion of France via Belgium. [It was stat&d a day or two ago by the Pall Mall Gazetts, on the authority of a diplomatic correspondent, that the late King Leopold of Belgium, exasperated and alarmed at the humanitarian agitation concerning his administration of the Congo Free State, appealed for Germany's protection, and agreed to au invasion of France through Belgium. This plan, after Leopold's death, fell into the hands of persons who communicated it to Franco. General credence was given to the report in diplomatic circles on the Continent.]
