Facenda. charged with seriously wounding his wife and fatally shooting her lover, was acquitted. [Facenda, who was an Italian, confectioner, residing in Glasgow, spent the week-end at Paris in a search for .his runaway wife. He bailed to aiscover her, but when returning to- Scotland unexpectedly met her in the waiting-room at the Northern railway station, Paris. He immediately faially shot the woman's Italian lover, and seriously wounded the woman. Facenda was arrested and charged with murder.]
