The Tokomaru Freezing Works, which were opened to-day, tue among the largest in the Dominion, having a capacity to deal vith 100 cai-ile and 2UOO sheep daily. The site of. me works is a- "splendid one, and thfc harbour facilities are excellent. Small bteamers can 1 come alongside the wharf close to the ! works, and bis fct earners can lie faiily . close in the roadstead. Labour is availL able in abundance, and a plentiful sup- • ply of beef ;s; s offering. Everything I points to a successful season.
