ALLEGED FALSE PRETENCES. [BY TELEGRAPH-PRESS ASSOCIATION] HOKITIKA, This Day.
William Imrie, arrested at Okarito, was remanded to appear at Wellington on' the 31st iust., on a charge of false pretences by passing a valueless cheque for £5. Accused was admitted to probation on a similar charge at Hokitika on 17th December.
