The supply ox Australian and Elver Plate meets the demand and they are selling freely. Canterbury cannot be quoted, North Island 4-gd, Australian s|d, Eiver Plate 3|d per lb. Lamb. — There is a, dull sale for all .lamb and the market has declined. Canterbury s£d, other than Canterbury s|d per lb. Beef. — The market is firm, the stock on hand is small, with good enquiry especially for fores, N.Z. Jiinds, 3^d; tores, 3d per lb. Butter. — The market is firm, with more enquiry at higher prices about the beginning of this week. The market closed rather quiet. Choicest New .Zealand butter, 110s, occasionally Ills; .Australian, 105s ; Danish, 116s ; Siberian, ■ 103s- per cwt. The Arawa shipment of butter arrived iv good condition. Cheese. — The market is firmer. The Arawa shipment of cheese arrived in good condition and met with a brisk demand. Coloured, 595 ; white, 57s 6d per cwt. flemp. — The market is quiet, small business doing at about quotation already given, viz. : — N.Z. good fair, spot per ton, £20 ss; fair grade, £19' 15s; fair current Manila, £19. Forward shipment about the same. The output from Manila for the week was 30,000 bales. Wool. — The market is stronger. Cocksfoot Seed. — The market is quiet, but firm. New crop, weighing 191bs per bushel, per cwt was offered at 80s. There are no buyers. ' Kauri Gum.— The market is quiet, but holders are firm, small business doing and prices weak in market. Quotations are nominal. Ordinary to fair threequarter scraped, £8 2s 6d ; fair halfscraped, 97s 6d; brown fair half to three-quarter scraped, 80s; brown pickings, common to good, 455; bush, fair to ..good, pale and ambei scraped, £b Stock 337 tons. Eggs.— Cold stored, Italian, 10s 6d to 12s per 120; Austrian, 8s 3d lo 10.*; Danish, lls 9cl to 13s 6d.
