East A defeated East B, innings and 163. South defeated College, innings and 17. Central A defeated Central B, innings and 33 HONOUR BOAKD Grace (South), ill. Naughton (Central A), not out, 45. Monaghan (College). 6 for 56. Grace (South), 5 for SZ. Hawthorn (Central A), 4 for 44, Gibbes (East A), 3 for IG. Senior grade cricket was resumed oa the Basin Reserve on Saturday afternoon in fine weather, but very little interest was evinced in the games, as they were all looked on as foregone conclusions. The players themselves did not appear to take play very seriously, as each, team was short-handed during the afternoon. Wickets, on the whole, were good ; if anything, they favoured the batsmen. Only one individual display stood out: Grace, of South, being responsible for a fine perforrhance, compiling 111 with the bat and taking five ■wickets for 35 runs. Full point wins were secured by East A. Central A, and Soutn, the victims being East B, Central B, and Victoria College. Detail* are as follow : — EAST A v. EAST B. On the previous Saturday East A. with seven wickews down for 251 runßj had declared, thus leaving East B witl 217 to get to save an innings defeat. Only seven. B men turned up on Saturday, and Gibbes and Grimmett soon made short work of them, 34 being od the board when the last wicket fell. East A thus won by an innings and 183 runs. Details : —
