FROZEN MEAT.
PROPOSED INTRODUCTION INTO j AUSTRIA. j A PARLIAMENTARY VOTE. By Telegraph.— Press Association.— Copyright VIENNA, 2nd December. The .Austrian Chamber, by 223 votes to 206, has adopted a motion in favour of the unrestricted entry of trans-oceanic meat. The debate revealed that the Austrian Government was bound bj r a secret agree- , ment which did not permit it to import meat without Hungary's consent. Austria is now of opinion that Hungary sanctioned the importation of ten thousand tons of Argentine meat. Hungary denies this, and says it agreed only to the importation of two thousand tons. It is doubtful whether the Austrian Parliament's decision will result in meat being imported.
