LARGE ENTRIES. [BX TELEGRAPH — PRESS ASSOCIATION.] CHRISTCHURCH, This" Day. The Metropolitan Show was opened to-day in beautiful weather. The entries in most classes are large, the aggregate being 2145 as compared with 2022 last year. Sheep (1050), cattle (233), and horses (531), are all strong classes. A disappointing feature is the absence of implements, there being only 133 entries compared with 502 last year. The implement makers appear to be' repeating the experiment of 1907, when they decided not to incur the expense of' making an extensive display.
