LONDON WOOL SALES.
MARKET FOR CROSSBREDS EASIER. By. Xeleeraph. — Press Association. — Copyright. (Received October 5, 2.45 p.m.) LONDON, 4th October. At the wool sales the market was flat, except for best merino combings, prices favouring buyers. Crossbreds were irregular, and often a halfpenny cheaper. Thero would appear to be a slight easing of wool prices 'at the wool sales now in progress in London. Messrs. Murray, Roberts, and Co., Ltd., have received the following cable message from Messrs. Sanderson, Murray and Co., London, regarding tho current London wool sales, under date 3rd October: — "The market is weaker for merino wools, with the exception of the best descriptions. Faulty iind inferior scoured merino — the market is weak and irregular. Crossbreds have declined 5 per cent." This is confirmed by a cable received from its London house by the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Company, reading, in offect: "Market quieter crossbreds." Messrs. Dalgety this afternoon received the following cable from London: — "Merinoes not likely to depress. Crossbred wools par to 5 per cent, lower." The Now Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., has received tho following cablegram from its London houso, under date 4th instant: — "As compared with last sales' closing rates, prices are about the same for medium greasy crossbred, lambs, fine greasy crossbred, and faulty descriptions ; and higher about par to 5 per cent. ' for crossbred slipe, coarse greasy crossbred, merino, and scoured crossbred. Market quieter for orossbred wool."
