It is understood that there are no additional cases of sickness among the members of the household at Government House. The Public Works Department has the investigations of the drainage system thoroughly in hand. There is no likelihood of the Governor and Lady Islington resuming residence at the House until they are assured by their advisers that it is not imprudent to do so. The family will, therefore, remain at Featherston for the present. The drains are to be thoroughly tested for defects, and a complete investigation into the sickness carried out by Government experts.
