EASTERN CRISIS. SITUATION EXTREMELY GRAVE.
YOUNG TURKS CONTROL THE ARMY. OCCUPATION OF THESSALY DEMANDED. By Telegraph.— Press Association.— Copyright. LONDON, 3rd October. Chauvinistic officers favour the occupation of Thessaly as a hostage pending a settlement of the Cretan question. The Greek Government has hurriedly declared the three * Cretan seats in the Assembly vacant, in order to deprive the Turks of any excuse for aggressive action.
