"FIGHT PICTURES."
Mr. A. H. Barnett presided at the fortnightly meeting of the Star Boating Club Debating Society, held at the club house last evening. Mr. F. G. Hume, seconded by Mr. W. C. Harrington, moved : — "That the public display of kinematograph pictures of the JohnsonJeffries fight should be made illegal in New Zealand." This was opposed by Mr. V. Meredith, seconded by Mt. A. D. Bayfleld. After the motion had been discussed by the majority of those present, a vote was taken, and resulted ia its being negatived.
