SPECIAL TRAINS. STREETS THRONGED WITH HUNGRY CROWDS. "

RENO, 4th July. Special trains are arriving half-hourly, and many people are sleeping in tha open. Schwab and other millionaires are living in private, railway cars. The streets are thronged with hungry) crowds, seeking entrance to the crowded restaurants. Exorbitant prices ar« being charged for food and drink. A great many people are visiting the campg of Jeffries and Johnson. The saloons and gambling halls wera closed on Sunday, and the boxers had an idle day. OnJy intimates saw Jeffries, but Johnson's camp resounded with songs and music. J Crowds of Californian enthusiasts favouring Jeffries have arrived, and many consider that Jolinson will not last 20 | rounds. Amongst those who have arrived are the following well-known pugilists r-^-J. Corbett, Jake Kilrain, "Battling" Nek son, Fitzgimmons, J. L. Sullivan, Burns, Lang, F. P. Slavin, Sharkey, Langford, and Ketchell. The arena is a mile and a half from the city. It is 300 ft square, and thera is v 27ft platform in the centre. Below the platform are telegraph instruments and telephones for supplying bulletins, to the music halls and other places whece bulletin boards have been arranged.
