The Moana, -which left Sydney at 6 p.m. on Saturday for Wellington direct, is bringing 82 saloon and 46 steerage passengers for New Zealand ports. The vessel should arrive here early to-morrow morning. THE WAIWERA. Yesterday the Shaw, Savill, and Albion steamer Waiwera arrived at Auckland in ballast from Beauty Point, Tasmania. The vessel is to immediately commence loading for London, and from Auckland she will go to Gisborne. She is. due at Wellington about Monday next, and will afterwards proceed to Lyttelton and Bluff, sailing finally from Bluff for London about tho 20th July. INDRANI'AT MELBOURNE. An arrival at Melbourne yesterday was the A. and A. Line chartered steamer Indrani, ;Which left New York on tbe 4th May for Melbourne, Launceston, and New Zealand ports. tfhe vessel has cargo for Wellington, and is due here about the 29th July. TAINUI AT HOBART. Cable advee has been received by the local agents for the Shaw, Savill, and Albion Company that the Tainui, which left Plymouth on the 28th May, armed at Hobart at 9 o'clock to-day. The vessel should arrive here late on Saturday or early Sunday morning. RANGATIRA ARRIVED HOME. A cable from London advises the arrival of the Shaw, Savill, and Albion steamer Rangatira, which sailed from Wellington on the 2Gth May. In place of the disahled Whangape the steamer WakefieW, well known in connecton with the search for the missing Waratah, will load coal at Newcastle for Auckland. The Union Company's steamer Whangape, which lost her propeller and was towed to Sydney on Sundaj, had a somewhat similar experience in 1908, when she was picked up with a broken tail-shaft by the Tofua, and towed to Suva on the Ist October, 1908. After 20 years service Captain J. Dawson, late of the Manapouri, is resigning from the Union Company in order to enter into business ashore in Australia. Captain Dawson was very well known in the Island trade. The New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Orari, from London, now at Napier, will not arrive here until Thursday morning next. To-morrow the Westport Coal Company's collier Canopus is expected in port, with a load of coal fiom Westport. About four weeks will be spent away from - Wellington by the Hinemoa, which leaves on Thursday on a cruise of inspection to the southern lighthouses. Messrs. W. and G. Turnbull and Co. have taken over the agency of the steamer Jane Dougjas. The vessel will sail for Hokitika direct this afternoon. The Rosamond, which arrived in port yesterday from Onehunga, had a very rough trip down the coast, and on Sunday evening the weather was so bad that the vessel anchored under Long Island lor shelter. On the 23rd June last the Italian bsrque King Malcolm left Marseilles foi Wellington and Sydney. The vessel is bunging a uaigo of tiles. Messrs. Briscoe and Co., Ltd., are agents.
