LODGE MEETINGS.
Afc the Druids' Hall last night Bro. H Cooper, A.D., presided over a large attendance of members of the Pacific Lodge, No. 8, U.A.O.D. The anniver-sax-y of this lodge is olose at hand, and it lias been decided by the members to hold a large "social" on that occasion. During the evening Bro. Parsons, P. A., who is leaving for Gisborne, was presented with a token of esteem, in the shape of a framed photograph of the retiring officers. Five candidates for membership were initiated, and several proposed, and the sum of £14 10s was passed for payment as sick-pay.
