CHINESE NAVY.
REPORTED ORDERS. By Telegraph.—Press AsEociation.—Copyrlcht. (Received May 23, 9 a.m.) BERLIN, 22nd May. According to Berlin newspapers, China has ordered two cruisers and tweney destroyers from Germany. [Information was recently received in Sydney regarding the formation of a Chinese navy. The scheme provides for the sending of an ample number of students abroad for training, the establishment of naval schools in the coast 1* and river provinces. ' The nucleus only of cruisers and torpedo boats will be built. The proposed ships will include two cruisers, two protected cruisers, two despatch vessels, four destroyers, six torpedo boats. Jwo of the cruisers are now being built in England.]
