The Frozen Meat Trade Association's Smithfield market quotations for the undermentioned classes of frozen meat are based on actual salps of not less than one hundred carcases of mutton or lamb or tvrenty-five quarters of beef of fair average quality. The quotations are not for selected lines, but for parcels fairly representative of the bulk of tho shipments now on tho market. The prices which follow are on an pverage a farthing per 'lb more than the value ex ship, this difference representing an average cost in expenses, handling, conveyance, and selling the meat: — New Zealand Sheep. — Canterbury light 33d, medium 3id, heavy 3 7-16 d; North Island, 3 7-16 d; best brands, 3 9-16 d.
