THE FATAL BOXING BOUT IN AMERICA.
MORAN ACQUITTED. By Telegraph. — Press Association. — Copyright. (Received May 13, 9.43 a.m.) SAN FRANCISCO, 12th May. Ths magistrate dismissed the charge of manslaughter against Owen Moranin connection with the death of the boxei Tommy M'Carthy, which occurred when the pair were boxing for the featherweight championship. [The fight took place on 29th April. M'Carthy was knocked out in the sixteenth round. He hit the floor .with much violence, his skull being fractured.]
