METHODISM.

The quarterly meeting of the Board of Management of the Taranaki -street Circuit was held last evening, in the Biblo-class room, Taranaki-street. There was a large attendance of officials, including Rev. S. J. Serpell (in the chair), Rev. R. J. Clark, Sisters Isabel and May, oftlw Tory aud Aro street missions. The chairman reported thai the work of the circuit was in a healthy condition, and distinct eigns of progress were showing in almost all departments. The stewards presented a satisfactory balance-sheet. The finances in connection with the work of the Tory and Arostreet mismions were satisfactory, each showing a credit balance. Sister Isabel's resignatiou of her position at Tory-street mission was accepted with regret. Pleasure was expressed at the determination of the conference to establish a connexional paper, and a committee watt set up and substantial guarantee given to take a number and push the paper in tho circuit. The many activities of the church are well sustained, and v spirit of hopefulness prevalent.
