The final result of the ballot of thtt Welsh miners on the question whether they should accept — as recommended by the Miners' Union — the modified proposals of the mine-owners was 97,273 votes for and 34,963 against acceptance. SIGNING THE SETTLEMENT. (Received April 9, 10.5 a.m.) LONDON, Bth April. The South Wales settlement has been signed, except by the Aberdaro miners' representatives.
