During the Lords' veto debate in. tho HoiiS9 of Commons, Mr. Keir Havdie, Labour member for Merthyr Tydhl, whilst arguing that the Labour representatives did not favour extravagance, incidentally remarked that the finances of South Australia got into such a condition under Libeial and Tory v administrations that tho Labourites had been summoned to set them straight.
