SCOTTISH PIPERS AND DANCERS.

"The Scottish Pipers and Dancers* Society" is the name of an association of Caledonians formed lasL night at an enthusiastic meeting in the Professional Orchestra's Clubroom. There are already over twenty members. Mr. W. M'Glashan Smith was appointed lion, secretary, Mr. J. Hon. treasurer, Mr. J. Baillic pipe major, Mr. J. Finlay dancing master ; management committee, Messrs D. Scott, Dewhurst, J. M'Ardle, Birss, and S. 11. Shannon. The objects of the association are the promotion of Scottish interests, of individual playing and dancing, and to prepare members for Caledonian gatherings.
