COMPLAINT BY TRAINING COLLEGE STUDENTS.

[BY TECEGa.VrH — FBESS ASSOCIATION.] CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. There is trouble at the local training college over a regulation preventing students attending lectures at tho University College before 5 p.m. The Education Department presumably wants the whole time of students during the day, and is unwilling that the hours of school work should be broken into. The regulation presses very hard, however, on students who are taking a degree course at the University, since it prevents them; attending important lectures which under the Canterbury College time-table can scarcely be given after 5 o'clock. The professors are endeavouring to arrange extra- lectures on Saturday to meet the convenience of students of the training college, but this will not get over the wholo difficulty. In the meantime the students are complaining bitterly of the department's attitude.
