Strong E.B.E. winds and a high head swell were responsible for delaying the Manuka souiewh.it on her passage from Sydney to Wellington. She left the New South Wales port at 11 p.m. on Saturday in clear weatlior, and this lasted throughout. Cargo for discharge at Wellington was as follows : — 155 chests tea, 50 cases mineral waters, ISO bars lead, 15 bules ? *, 3S hogsheads white spirit, SO cases wine, 2so voxes soap, 25 barrels resin, 107 sack* flour, 4SO bags rice, 1820 mats rice, 44 .cases emulsion, 50 sacks manure, 70 cases salmon, 21 bales glue, 100 packages sultanas, 91 kegs cream of tartar, 37C cases fruit, and a quantity of sundries. There are also tran shipments ex Empire, Konigin Luise, Itonui, P. Z. Waldimar, Guthris, Makura, and Ville de la Ciotal. The Manuka leaves for southern ports, Mcloourne, and Hobart this evening. ABERLOUR, FROM NEW YORK. On arrival at Melbourne from New York on Thursday last Captain Barnet, of the A. and A. Line steamer Aberlour, reported an uneventful passage tot 63 dajs. Calls for bunker coal were made at St. Vincent and Capetown. The steamer brought a large cargo for Melbourne, Sydney, and New Zealand ports. This morning the Tyser liner Niwaru moved from Jervoin-quay to the Glasgow Wharf for Homeward loading. She leaves at noon on Saturday for Brisbane. Mr. Sommerville, formerly chief engineer of the Turakina, has joined the New Zealand Shipping Company's start at Denny's yards. Dumbarton. Mr. Holmes, formerly fifth officer, joined the Waimate as fourth. Before the end of this week the large cbllier Wairuna is to leave Newcastle with coal for Xapier, Gisboine, and Auckland. The Whanjjape is expected to leave Bunbury early next we«k with a shipment of jarrsh for Wellington and Lyttelton. Captain Hutchings is in command of the Union Company's collier Waihora on this trip.
