All clashes of utoiei came forward, but ewes and wether* formed the bulk of the yarding. Tha demand, however, wan keen, especially for nnt-quality «ort-, and there were comparatively few Jinn pawed in. Nearly all ewes changed bands at price* about on » par with latt week* ratei. Wethers showed a slight advance. Tho range of prices was: Six to eighttooth ewet, 4s 6d to 16* ; forward wcthert , 13s 3d to ISs : other*, lls 3d to 13i : ben rap* lambs, lls to 12s 9d ; other/, 6« 6d to lljbd. There was again s large yarc!iug of fat sheep, quite up to the standard of the ptut few asler, and the demand wa» keen, export buyers doing mott of the busmen The range of prices was: Prime wet hon, 16* 3d to 19s Sd ; rxtra, to 20s 9d ; other*, 13« 4d to 16i ; prime owei, 13s 6d to 17s 6d ; others, 10s 6cl to t3». Tho yarainf of fat lambi wa« a record one, more than don bl ing that of la«t week Tha bnlk of tho*« penned were of good quality «ort«, sone being particularly prime, though some strain came under tho heading of forward stores. The sale opened very bmkir with a general advance in prices, probably to be accounted for by the fact that export buyer* were- operating very freely, quite eclipsing- the effort* of tha generality of buyers to »eeure stook. Wh*B tho want* of the exporter* were «ati*ned, however, a slight decline in prices took puce, and the market tell off comewhat, though «yen then tho pric*i remained on an average well up to, if not a little above, latt week's rate*. Tho range of price* wa* from 12* 6d to 18s lOil. There wero 14,300 latnbt penned. The entry of fat cattle totalled 261 bead, principally dealer/ lino*, iartneni' being almott unrepresented. The quality of tho entries penned wan above that of laid Week's entry. The demand at the opening of the talo was very quiet, and a couplo of race* were paxted in. An improvement then a«t in, and, after opening at rather low rates, the talcs f mined up with prices on a par with thost obtained at the previous tal*. Tim raugo of prices was from 18* to 22* per 1001 b, aeeordkiß to quality. Steers fetched £& 7* 6d to £10. sod an extra quality one went to £13 15s ; heifer*, £5 5« to £8 IC* ; and dry cowi. £5 to £7 lOt. Only a ttnall entry of fat calve* wa* penned, and sales wero made At price* ranging from 4» Ocl to £Z 17* &d.
