A YOUNG WOMAN'S DEATH.

DUNEDIX, 3rd April. The inquest concerning the death of Janet M'Coll, who died in the houre of Mrs. Dureton, nurse, at Morningtou, ou 25th March, after having given birth to twins on 16th March, was resumed today. Elizabeth M'Coll sister of the deceased, said when she visited deceased the latter looked very ill, and «orripuun«d of being very tired. Witness suggested that deceased should go to the hospital, but Mrs. Durston said that was unnecessary, a* she had nursed' her thiough the worst of her illness, and she would bo better where she was. Witness al<n suggested calling in a doctor, but both Mrs. Durstou and deceased said that was unnecessary. Deceased did not inform witness that she was coming to town. Witness knew a man named Thomas Carr, who was their neighbour at Waitahuna. John Archibald Mackay, a clerk in the employ of the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, and manager of tho department at Bluff, was today committed for trial on a charge of forging a name on tho wages rheet of the company.
