The Pahnerston Municipal Opera House shows a profit on the past twelve months' operations, 'after paying interest, maintenance, and sinking fund, of £55 18s. A sum of £95 was added to the sinking fund. A statement submitted to the Boroucb Council by the town clerk shows that the overdraft is £6187, an increase of £2106 on tho previous year. The rates returned £18,680 during the twelve months. Tho requirement of the Borough Council that the new saleyards in the borough should be concreted has been waived, no objection being raised by the Health Department. The yards will not now be shifted out of the borough, as they would havt been had the condition been insisted on.
