SYDNEY, sth April. , The court has approved the scheme of lecvmstrualion of the Australian, Joint Stock Bank, Ltd., under the title of the Australian Bank of Commerce. The- Aunt r alia n Joint StocK Bank was established yi 1852, and reconstructed in 1893. It has 71 branches, with headouarters in Sydney. The bunk claims thai there is no liability attaching to shareholders in respect to tho issue of notes. At the last annual meeting a proposal to form a new bank to take over the onsets and liabilities of tho old bank was parsed. The balance-sheet showed £5,758,965 assets of tangible firoperty, the bulk of which i% more or ess liquid. Theie are about £1,774,000 current liabilities.
