The schooner Countess of Ranfurly, 198 tons gross, wrecked while voyaging from Sydney, was engaged in the New Hebrides trade, and was en route to Vila when the disaster occurred on tne south coast of New Caledonia. The schooner haa a genera! cargo, which was insured for £1500, and the hull was insured for £2500, both in the United Office.
