AUCTION AND PROPERTY SALES

I Messrs. George Thomas and Co. will hold an auction sale of salvage wholesale grocery stock damaged by water at the late fire in Butler Bros.' warehouse, tomorrow, at 2 o'clock, at the Fruit Exchange, Allen and Blair-streets. Messrs. Levien, Shallcrass and Co. will hold a cleaning-up sale at the Central Auction Rooms, on Friday afternoon, at 2 o'clock. Messrs. A. L. Wilson and Co. insert particulars of a sale of pianos they are holding at their rooms, 26, Brandonstreet, to-morrow, at 11 a.m., when they dispose of six instruments, which are on view. At 1.30 p.m. the firm will sell, on the premises, 246, Willisstreet, the contents of six rooms. At Hataitai, on Friday, commencing at 1.30. they will sell at the residence of Mrs. F. I. Bird, the contents of eight rooms, including an upright grand piano. The house is situate on, the Hataitairoad. On Thursday evening, at Palmerston ; North, Messrs. Abraham and Williams will sell by public auction sections in the well-known Clifton Estate. The auctioneers state that the prices of the sections are low and within the reach of any working man ambitious enough to desire a house of his own. Messrs. W. F. Shortt, Ltd., will sell household furniture at their rooms, Wil-lis-street, to-morrow, at 2 o'clock. Included in the lots to be sold is a draw-ing-room suite of seven pieces, with solid walnut frames. Messrs Harcourt and Co. will sell at the residence, Tutanekai," Moturoastreet, to-morrow, at 11 a.m. sharp, household furniture and appointments, contents of twelve furnished rooms. \ Catalogues may be obtained on application to the auctioneers.
