PALMERSTON FIRES. THE INSURANCES. [BY TELEGRAPH — PBESS ASSOCIATION.] PALMERSTON N., This Day. The following aie the insurances :— Millar and George's stock : £4000 on Ihe fittings and £300 on tho htocK, iv the Liverpool and London and Globe office; £300 in the Yorkshire, £500 in the Ocean. £800 in the Phoenix, £250 iv the Standard, £200 (ulso £300 on tho fitting:,) in the Alliance, £750 in the New Zealand, £500 in the Royal, and £500 in the latter on the stock of the back premises, which was not affected. Porteous's grocer's stock : in the storeroom, £100 in the. New Zealand and £50 in the London and Lancashire. The latt«r office holds a risk of £280 on the building and stock. The loss on the stock is estimated at £320. Pegden's polishing room and stock were insured in the Yorkshire office for £400. J"he loss is believed to be £500 or £600.
