FRIENDLIES FLEEING TO THE COAST. By Telegraph.— Pi-em Association.— Copyright. LONDON, 4th April. The Somali Mullah slaughtered 800 friendly tribesmen, and captured 'their stock. Tho friendlies are tleeing to tho coast. The aggression of the Mullah in 1908 necessitated an increase in the British forces in the Protectorate. He made several raids info 'the territory of friendly tribesmen, looting and killing indiscriminately. Early last year it was feared an attack would be made on the British military ports, and 300 men of the King's African Rifles were sent to Berbera from Nyas.sahtnd, and an In ( dian contingent of 400 from Bombay.
