Aftor inspection the company was oxerciscd in iho now two-rank drill by its. non-commissioned officers, and acquitted iUelf very creditably. The following promotions were unnounced : — Corporal. Uropp to uorgoaul, Lance-Cor-porali F. Rovtbnry and Murphy to corporah, 1-Vivatu C. Rowbery to lance-cor-i poral. A sergeant's cortilicate was ure«sented to Corporal Woodward, and a corporal's certificate to Private Green*lade. Badges for proficiency in signalling wero priuented to Sergeant Cropp and Privatu Hornig.
