SUPREME COURT RETURNS.

♦ i _ The Supreme Court returns for the quarter ended 3lst March, 1910, 'show that the total fees collected ut Wellington nmoimted to £714 2s lOd. The total amount for which judgment was entered was £21,145. On the criminal tide, breaking and entering and theft constituted the most numerous class of crime dealt with. Eleven persons were found guilty of theft, aud ten of breaking and entering. Two persons were charged with sheep-stealing, and both were acquitted. One person was found guilty of attempted murder. Charges under other heads show that in all seventy-four persons were indicted on the criminal side of the court, und that forty-five were convicted aud sentenced. In divorce sixty petitions for dissolution of marriage were filed, and twenty-four decrees granted.
