FIRE AT HASTINGS.
[BX TELEGUAPH— PBESS ASSOCIATION.] HASTINGS, This Day. A fire occurred at 1 a.m. on Sunday in two-storied wooden buildings known as Webber's Corner. It Parted in Plummer'tt (tobacconiNt) uild burned through to Muse's photo ntudio upstain.. A chemical engine held tho flames in check until the rteam engine arrived. The damage by the fire was confined (o tho two places named, but the stocks of Charles (fruiterer), Webber (chemist), and M'Goldvick and Farquhar (clothier*), were damaged by ■moke and water. The insurance « ore : — Buildings (owner D. O'Reilly) : £450 in the State office j stock and fittings (Pltunmer's) : £100 in the Australasian Alliance, and £60 in the Norwich Union ; Muse : £100 in the South Britioh ; Charles : £140 in ths Phoenix ; Wtbber : £200 in the Stardard, £300 in tho South British, and £200 in the National; M'Goldrirk : £650 in the Australasian Alliance ; Fnrquhar, £100 in the Australasian Alliance.
