Cotton. — April-May shipment, 7.72 id, a rise of 10 points, chiefly due to sustained' purchases on behalf of Chinese speculators. Copper.— On the spot, £58 3s 9d: three* months, £59 6« 3d; electrolytic, £61 6s. I Supplies, 30,873 tons; deliveries, 32,896; stocks, 11,432; afloat, 2800. Tin.— On tho spot, £152 ; three months, £154; stocks, 20,902 tons, spot 7300, afloat2871; deliveries 2350. Tallow.— ln stock, 3107 casks; imports, 2641 casks; deliveries, 3029. WHEAT. (Reoeived April 4, 9.40 a.m.) LONDON, 3rd April. The wheat and flour afloat for tho United Kingdom totals 4,1b9,000 quarters;, for tho Continent, 1,950,000 quarters, Atlantic shipments, 97,000; Pacific, 13,000. The total shipments to Europe during the week amounted to 1,009,000 quarters, including 250,000 from Argentine and Uruguay. (Received April 4, 10 a.m.) LONDON, 3rd April. Two cargoes of Australian wheat sold at 39s 6d; two other cargoes and 14,000 quartern, at 39s 3d; 13,000 quarters of January-February shipment, at 39s 7£d. FROZEN MEAT. LONDON, 2nd April. The Frozen Meat Trado Association's Smithfield Market quotations for tho undermentioned classes of frozen meat are bastd on actual talem or not less than unit hundred carcases of mutton or lamb, or 25 quarters of beof of fair average quality. The quotations aho not for selected lines, but for parcels fairly representative of the bulk of tho shipments now on the market. The prices which follow are on an average a farthing per lb. more than the \ aluo ex ship, this difference reE resenting an average cost in expenses, andling, conveyance, and selling the New Zealand Sheep.— Canterbury medium, 4id; North Island, 4gd, best. Aid. New Zealand Lamb.— Unchanged. New Zealand Beef.— Fores 3id, hinds Australian Sheep.— Heary, sd: fair quality, 4Jd; inferior quality, 43d. Australian Beef.— Fores, Sfd, hinds 4&d.
