FIRES.

Early yesterday morning the Fire Brigade was called out, to attend to an outbreak in an eight-rojmed house, 25, Pirie-street, owned by Chas. Higgir.& and occupied by H. H. Blake. The building, which was extensively damaged, was insured for £200 in the South British Office, and the furniture for £140 in the Victoria Office. Shortly after 7 p.m. another call was received to a house in Hansen-street, owned by the Church of England Trustees, and occupied by Mr. Pulsford. Three of the rooms were damaged. The building was insuted f,or £150 in the Atlas Office, and the contents in the 6ame office for £50. The Minimax hand fire extinguisher is just the thing to put out a fire. A boy or giil can use it.
