The ground was prepared last year, and the work of planting has already been begun. The area of the nursery has been .extended to five acres. Orders have bean placed with British nurseries for the following trees for hillside planting :—: — Common spruco ... 240,000 Larch 150,000 Scotch spruce 80,000 Silver fir 45.000 Sitka spruce .., ... 40,000 Douglas spruce ... 35,000 In addition 100,000 German wpruce plants have been bought.
