Tho body of a man which was found washed up on tho beach at Himitangi on Good Friday has been identified as that of an old-age pensioner named T. Hodder, who threw himself off the Waganui bridge on 18th March. CHRISTCHURCH, Ist April. A body was found in the bod of the River Wnimakariri. It is supposed to be that of Robert Barker, an elderly man, who has been micsing since 26thFebruary. Tho police have not yet returned to town with the body. GIRBORNE, Ist April. The Dotty of George Conor, foreman of the sanitary service, was found in Waikanao-ctreet this morning clinging J to a pilo of the foot bridge. The man had evidently slipped over during tho night and was drowned in tho flood.
