DEFENCE CADETS IN CAMP.
+ At Seatoun St. Anne's Defence Cadets, under Captain E. E. J. Martin, have been in camp since Wednesday last. So far the attendance has been very good. On an average there have been about sixty-three boy? on parade. StaffSergeant Major Rose is present as instructor. All ranks are taking great interest in their work, and the boys are becoming very smart in their drill. Among the Mibjects taught are signalling and topography. The boys have to produce skeleton maps and plans, and several have become quite proficient in the art. The corps is the first cadet company to be encamped under the new system. The day's woik is fairly heavy, as shown by the camp routine •.—Reveille, 5 a.m.; parade, 5.45; breakfast, 6.30; those who leave for work parade at 7 ; camp inspection, 8.30; parade, 9 to 10 and 10.30 to 11 30; bathing parade, 11.45 a.m. to 12.5 p.m.; dinner, 12.15; parade, 2 to 3, and 3.30 to 4.50; tea, at 5; first poet, 9 p.m. j second post, 9.15: liehts out, 8.30. b
